A new Marine Hybrid Kit

The new Marine Hybrid Kit, an auxiliary propulsion system for the diesel motors of up to 2000 kW, redefines hybrid- electric propulsion meeting the demand for a more simple and economically advantageous propulsion system.

The system includes

An AUXILIA electric motor placed between the diesel engine and the reverse reduction gearbox which, when needed, can operate either as a motor or electrical generator; lithium batteries with their control panel; an electrical panel with a PMS (Power Management System) with filters that reduce harmonic distortions; a compact variable speed genset optional).

The system is versatile and makes it possible to create different operating modes that ensure comfort, reduced emissions and safety in case of breakdown of one of the two engines. Presenting the system at such an important event like METS gives tangible proof of the commitment of Auxilia Electric Propulsion in what are called “The Big Five”: significantly reducing exhaust gases in the atmosphere; offering exceptional comfort on-board with no noise or vibration; reducing fuel consumption; simplifying the use of the systems with “plug & play” installation; promoting dynamic positioning and very low speed patrolling.

In conclusion

The success of Auxilia Electric Propulsion in the yachting sector is confirmed by many successful applications in such renowned yards as: Admiral, Azimut|Benetti, Baglietto, Canados, CNC, Columbus, Dynamiq, Nuovi Cantieri Apuania, Ocean King, Palumbo, Persico Marine, San Lorenzo, Tecnomar, Wally (Ferretti Group) and Wider.
