Italian superyacht builder Tankoa Yachts has signed the sale of the first 58 meters T580 superyacht with on board the shaft generation system supplied by AUXILIA in cooperation with German gearbox manufacturer REINTJES.

The propulsion is made with two CAT 3512E - 1.350kW @ 1.600rpm each coupled to a REINTJES gearbox type WAF 743 / 3.952:1 with special PTO (Power Take Off) system for Shaft Alternator.

The construction of the yacht started in July 2021; the hull (a rendering in the image above) will be built in steel with aluminum superstructures; the exterior design is curated by Francesco Paszkowski; it will be a World Wide Explorer with sporty lines, able to face long navigations thanks to a range of over 5 thousand miles.

Six cabins dedicated to the owner and his guests, in addition to those of the crew. A large garage will house two tenders, one of which is 9 meters long.

 This installation of our Shaft Generation system allows to obtain electrical energy from the main diesel propulsion motor for the on board electric demand. This means it is possible to have smaller gensets and to save working hours for gensets.
